I use Skype on Windows 7 and my computer automatically blank out after X number of minutes. Actually this will be goes into the sleep mode. Then I done the right-clicking on the Skype application file and then select properties option. Then go to the compatibility tab and check the box that says "Run in Compatibility Mode". Also I have done select "Windows Vista Service Pack 2" which is present into the drop-down menu. Finally I Click OK button and it fixes the problem.
