    AppData Help, Please

AppData has taken over my computer apparently. My path used to be C;\Users\Family\Local etc ... now it shows up as C:\Users\Family\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\I.... (not sure how it finishes).

I am no techie and I don't know how this happened or how to fix it.

    Any help is truly appreciated.

Well, what kind of operating system have you installed? Normally, Application Data is not an actual folder, it is a Junction which is only there for backward compatibility. A Junction is a shortcut that redirects files and programs to a different location. This particular Junction points to the C:Users\username\AppData\Roaming folder.

    Re: AppData Help, Please

I have Windows 7. I do have a folder in my Family folder that says AppData and if I open that it has the sub folders (?) of Local, LocalLow, Roaming and Temp. Thanks for answering.
