Error Code 0x80070057: unable to send mail after updating Windows Live Mail 2011

I have installed Windows 7 on the computer of mine. I unable send Email by using Windows Live Mail 2011 after updating the same in previous night. However I am able to receive the mails on Windows Live Mail 2011. I am getting an error code ‘0x80070057’ when I am trying to send the mail through it. I am unable to figure out to fix the matter of mine. Can anyone help me out to fix the matter of mine? Thanks a lot in advance.

Looking on the matter which you have provided I am unable to find out the root cause of the problem. You have provided only Error code which you are getting when you are trying to send the mail on the Windows Live Mail. It would be really helpful if you can post the entire error message over here. For that purpose you have to right click on the error message and copy and paste the same over here so that I can find out the root cause and let you know about the troubleshooting steps to fix the matter of yours.

I am asking certain questions which would be helpful to find out the root cause of the problem on the computer of yours. You should see that mail server settings is correctly done or not. it might need to delete and rekeyed the server settings on the computer? Also see that authentication for the outgoing server is enabled or not. do you have installed any antivirus program on the computer and see whether scanning of incoming and outgoing email is enabled or not. finally you need to see that Firewall is enabled or not.

I was having the same problem which you have provided in this particular thread. I want to share my experience with all of you so that you can use my experience in order to fix the problem of yours. Well I have switched back to the Port 25 to the Port 587. Then I have restarted the Windows Live Mail on the computer of mine. Well once I have done above mentioned thing I was able to send the mail using Windows Live Mail 2011.

I have done lots of research work on this particular matter and I have find out that this particular problem is associated with Proxy Server. In the situation it was an issue with the Proxy itself and I have simply turned off and I was not having any issue with the sending the mail through Windows Live Mail. So I recommending that you should turn off the proxy and see whether it is helpful to you or not.

You told me that this particular problem is happening after installing the updates on the computer so I recommend that you should simply go for system restore. You need to select the restore point prior to the first time occurring of the problem. Once the process is completed you need to restart the computer and see whether it is working or not.
