Why i am unable to access my webmail on my gateway laptop whenever i try to reach my webmail by typing the address on the address bar. i get the error message saying that There is certain security certificate" message most probably i think that this is totally normal. Finally when I select "Continue to this website", I get the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message.

Internet Explorer may be using old information when you try to use Webmail. Try to delete your browsing history to see if the problem is resolved. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start , Then click Internet Explorer.
    2. Click Delete Browsing History from the Tools menu.
    3. In the Delete Browsing History, click Delete all.
    4. Click to select the check box for Also delete files and settings stored by add-ons, then click OK.
    5. Try again using Webmail to ensure it works correctly.

On many web offerings, such as commercial or university webmail services, confidential information between users and web site are exchanged. On these pages you have to authenticate usually by entering a user ID. Additional security is to encrypt the connection using SSL, recognizable by the "https" (instead of "http") in the address bar of your browser. What you need to do is to confirm all those prompts and you can access your webmail.

The other solution to this problem is that you use another browser such as Mozilla Firefox or the Google Chrome. Because these two browser do not require certain kind of security exception you simply need to install the either of the two browser on your system and the problem should be fixed. Since it will only prompt you to confirm the security exception.

Restore the default settings of Internet Explorer. This procedure removes all changes made to Internet Explorer since it was installed, but does not delete bookmarks or feed. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Close all open Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.
    2. Click Start , Then click Internet Explorer.
    3. In Internet Explorer click the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
    4. Click the Advanced tab, then click Reset.
    5. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
    6. Once restored to its default settings, click Close, then OK twice.
    7. Close Internet Explorer and restart it. The changes will be reflected the next time you start Internet Explorer.
    8. Try again using Webmail to ensure it works correctly.
