| Re: Emailed photos received are too large
As you told that both of the computers are showing the same images in different way then, according to me the problem can be with the program that is used to view those images. You should check for the software that is used to view the images. Since only your father’s computer is showing the problem with that then you can just try to change the associated software to open the image. If the program that is used by the computer is the web based and it is other than the MS Internet Explorer then you should take a look at the control of that browser. If it is a few additional clients similar to Thunderbird otherwise Outlook then you will be obliged to investigate how the picture image capacity is related. |

You should check if the picture is opening as it is opening normally in windows Mail then it is related to the size of the picture. The original file itself may be of very large size. If I have to send any photos to anyone then I reduce that photo to 4 X 6 inches before attaching that to mail so that it will be opened easily without any issue on any of the browser and operating system. OK, you can download that file to your computer and change the size of the file as needed. I think that is the only option left for you at this time to view the entire image together. |

There is a software available on internet that can be used to view the images. The name for that software is IrfanView. It is one of the best software that can be used to view the images. So you can search for this on internet and download that to your computer. It is a freely available on internet. Install it you your PC. After installing that you have to open that with the help of IrfanView. Select Image > Resize/Resample and that will open a dialog box. Tick the preserve aspect ratio box. Change the size of the image and save it. If there are more than one file to be converted then you can also do that at the same time with the help of IrfanView. So if you want to do that then you can select to File > Batch Conversion/Rename. |

All the above solutions that are given are to change the size of the file and I don’t think that this is the solution of the issue. You can try to use some other application to open the image. If that is not helping you to solve the issue then you can try to use other mail service like google and see if it is opening properly with that. Other than this, you can try to create one more account on gmail and see if that is showing you the same problem. If that is showing you the same then you can try to use the newly created account and that is the only option for you. |
