Likely cause of your problem is an account that was not appropriately configured in Windows Live Mail. I will recommend you to try making use of the latest version. The most recent version of Windows Live Mail is 15.3.2804.0607. If you still have this trouble after installing the windows live mail. Please let me know so that I can provide further help.

    Hi,
    Server Error: 0x80048849
    Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048849
At what time I was having this trouble, I altered the settings on Internet Explorer and it resolved my trouble.
Just attempt this:Go to Tools-> Internet Options-> Connections-> LAN Settings and uncheck the Automatically Detect Settings and click on OK. Now got to Advanced-> Restore Advanced Settings and click OK.

I was also receiving the similar error when I updated and installed to the most recent BetaTried the following:
    1. First disabled Firewall still same error
    2. Disabled Anti Virus- still same error
    3. Deleted the account settings / Added after restarting the computer- still same error
Not anything worked. I after that clicked "Sign out of Windows Live Mail" to sign-out as well as clicked send and receive and it work!
