You can definitely connect your personal laptop to your company’s network but for that you need to take authority from main administrator. Then some of the tips that I can give for the secure use of that network that are:
    • Delete all the operating system's recently used files and folders lists.
    • Start Taskbar properties by right-clicking on the taskbar.
    • Go on the "Start Menu" tab and select "Customize." From there you can delete both the files and programs' histories.
    • Delete each program recently opened files and folders lists.
    • Nearly all programs save a list of your recently used files.
    • Test the software you use on your laptop.
    • In a "Preferences" or "Options" menu delete all history and previous applications list.
    • Don’t share your user profiles information like username or password with anyone.

I thinks you can connect your personal laptop with your company network by using some extra link but there some things you need to do for secure use of that network as well as your information for that you can follow this tips :
Encrypt essential files on your hard disk.
Look for the Web for high-quality, free, encryption applications. Search for one that lets you encrypt your all information and data on your hard disk. It should also let you delete data securely so they can't be retrieved. Some also let you create virtual, removable or drives or vaults. Keep your passwords with care and don't forget them. You will unable to open the encrypted files without using your password.

You can easily use your laptop by taking administrators permission but there can be chances of hacking of your information for that:
    • Store your files in external hard disk or flash USB.
    • You need to purchase external hard disk, CD or DVD .
    • Search for high-capacity, durable brands. Save your files there, not on your laptop hard drive.
    • Encrypt the files and folders for extra protection, if you want.
