This only happens while in firefox and nowhere else. For example; on facebook, i attempt to scroll the page down, but instead it just starts flipping/scrolling through photos. I just want to deactivate that feature. Any idea how?

Is that happen to all the times or only for a short period of time? If it is temporary then you should open the task manager(without closing any tabs or Firefox windows) and select the process tab in the task manager. Search for the process firefox.exe and highlight that. Clock on end process and this will close all the Window of Firefox that you have opened. After that go to desktop and refresh by pressing F5 button. Again open the Firefox. This time it will ask you that whether you want to restored the previously opened tabs. Click yes. This will open all the tabs that was opened. Try this and see whether it solves the issue or not.
it occurs all of the time. No luck with any attempted solutions so far.
You can try pressing Scroll Lock from your keyboard. This locks the inside page scrolling and you can simply move on the main page. If this does not work then there is a another option to add a firefox plugin. It is called as SmoothWheel. This plugin lets you to decide the behavior of your mouse. This is easy to use and you can simply disable that from the Add on section if you do not want to use the same.
