    Huawei E1750 with Windows 7 x64

Hi friends, I had just bought E1750 stick. After finishing setup the device tree the "HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G Modem" is preceded with the exclamation mark. It throws me the error but all the other devices is working OK. The properties page in the 3G Modem shows the error that windows cannot load needed drivers. I thought of updating my Mobile firmware IP that is 11.125.07.02.66 to the Huawei latest official firmware that is 11.305.10.02.06. But it doesn’t help me out. I also tried to latest drivers but still I don’t get the success. If I try to connect it within the dashboard manager, it looks like that manger does not have the data connection to the stick. I cannot understand why 3G modem driver is not being load by system. Please help me to load it.

The driver 3.09 may supports windows 7 x64. If you have booting up the live CD and configure your hardware. Search for your Huawei modem, what type of modem is it using? Now from here check when booting from the hard drive. You may also need to download the driver or firmware of your modem. download the firmware and install it on your system.

The 3G modem seems that, it need to get flipped from the virtual CD Drive to the modem. As you make use of the USB modem switch, Check whether the USB switch is working or not. Check it by typing “lsusb”. If it run then you would need the 1001 product ID for it, to get recognized. Check whether you get an lsusb ID of 1001 before trying to configure. This is the product ID of the old Huawei modems. It should have to configure fine. If your USB modem switch is not working then you will still have the lsusb reading. You will have the icon of the Huawei on your desktop.

Hi, I had been able to install it on the windows 7 x 64 bits. It is working without any problems. It might be possible that the installation of the drivers has not been installed completely. Assume that the root cause for the installation problem is the fact that, your system may not have the COM port. Modem driver installation tries to make use of the COM port to install and configure the drivers.

I have done some kind of testing for it. It is working for me. What I done that, I created the Virtual Machine ware image with the windows 7 x 32 bits. In that I had successfully installed and configured E1750 and used it easily. I think that the autorun might be creating the problem. But then I had enabled both autorun and auto play. By enabling both it then have the same problem with the driver install. This part also some time fails in the 32 bits image but it is being created and corrected later when autorun execute the installation of the driver for the second time.
