    Detail of MVPS HOSTS files

For anything because when a page which would have ads is visited, to get back to the actual page the back button is not work. In its place it steps though the missing or non-existent ad link first, with no modify in the original web page. If I visit any sub page it obtains 4 clicks of the back button to go back to the front page as the browser steps through all the blanked ad links. The MVPS page talks about a workaround but I don't have any idea if it will work. Anyone attempt that or have any suggestions? I have to remove or uninstall the host file if I can't get this fixed. Or give me some more detail about MVPS HOSTS files.

I have some information which may be helpful for you. You do not hope to continue using the MVPS HOSTS file In the event, you can purely delete and remove the existing HOSTS file and rename HOSTS.
When running the installer (mvps.bat) built-in in the "hosts.zip" the "HOSTS.MVP" file was created HOSTS.MVP is the backup of your earlier HOSTS file. When installing the MVPS HOSTS file rearrange the DNS Client service which you should have disabled. Then Open the Services Editor:
    1. Start on Run and type "services.msc" without quotes and click Ok.
    2. Move down to "DNS Client" then Right-click and select Properties.
    3. At the end for Startup type click on the drop-down arrow.

After doing all this select Automatic then click on Apply button -Ok and restart.

You can just delete or remove the existing HOSTS file, Download the default Microsoft HOSTS file which vessel with your Windows version. Extract or unzip and place the built-in HOSTS file in the default location. The following places are for the typical default paths, edit as required.
    • Windows 2K : C:\winnt\system32 \drivers\etc
    • Windows XP/Vista/7 : C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

After this rearrange the DNS Client service which you should have disabled while installing the MVPS HOSTS file.
