    Problem with the proxy server in firefox

    Hello,
    I am having a wireless internet connection for my laptop. It is being connected wirelessly to the proxy server. I am also using the Firefox as my web browser long with the Windows vista. Before all the things were working fine. From today i have started facing the problem on my proxy server. When i am trying to connect to connect to the proxy server, then i am not to make the connection with the proxy server. It is not allowing me to make the connection. I don't know suddenly why i have started facing this problem. Is there anyone who has idea related with this issue? I need to have your support, so please help me out.

    Unable to connect to proxy server after re-installing the firefox

    I am also facing the same problem on my system. I am also having a proxy server and my computer is connected with it. All things were working before i reinstalling the Firefox on my computer. I started getting this problem when i re-installed the Firefox. I don’t know what has gone wrong in my system. Is the problem related with the Firefox for with the proxy server? If you have even some idea related with this issue, and then please post you reply here. I want to solve this issue as early as i can; hence i am looking for a solution. Hope you will provide me.

    I will recommend you to do the following try -
    1. Go into the proxy server
    2. Check the proxy settings
    3. You have to make sure that the setting is correct.
    4. If all the things are fine, then you will require contacting to the network administrator.
    5. You have to see whether your proxy server is working or not.
    6. If it is working then the problem is with your browser.

    Disabled the proxy settings

    You need to try out the following steps in order to solve the problem.
    • Click on the tools option in the Firefox
    • Now select the options field in it.
    • Now you have to select the advanced tab in it.
    • In the advance tab you have to click the "Network" tab
    • Then click on the "Settings" tab.
    • Inside the settings you have to select the option named as No Proxy
    • Now click on the OK tab and close the window.
    • By doing this you have disabled the proxy settings.

    Try this out.

    Not getting to solve even after disabling the proxy server

    I have tried to refer the posts which are provided above. It is not solving my problem. I have tried to check the settings of the proxy server also i have tried to disable the proxy server, but not helping me. I am now looking for a different solution which will help me in solving my problem. Is there anyone who will provide me the required help? Please do suggest me the solution for this. I would also like to give my thanks to all those who have posted their reply here and spend their precious time in helping me.
