getting emails with no TO, no FROM, no SUBJECT, no TEXT or attachments

Hi everyone,

My problem is that I am getting the emails which do not have any subject or any text, subject or attachments. It also does not have TO or FROM address. It comes on a specific time and it is around 9:45 to 10:00 pm every day. All the mails are about 326kb in size and about 30 to 300 in number. Please tell me that how can I stop this or what is the reason behind getting such emails?

The emails that you are getting are called the junk emails. If you want to filter the junk emails in Windows Live hotmail then you can follow the steps that are given below.

1. Log in to your Windows Live hotmail account.
2. At the upper right corner of your page you will see Option. Just click on that option and select more options.
3. Click on Filters and reporting which will be under Preventing junk email.
4. Now under Filters and reporting you have to select the option that you want and save the changes.

Note that if you choose the Exclusive for your junk e-mail filter then only the contact that are there on your contact list will be able to send emails to you. But if you do that then you should check the junk e-mail folder frequently to check that if there is any good message is there on junk list.

Junk emails that you are getting can be any not needed, unwanted, or illegal e-mail. It also inclide the SPAMs. You should do the following and it will help you to reduce the junk emails.

• You should not give any reply to these emails. There is possibility that the sender of these mails just want to confirm that the email address is valid. If you want to report that message as junk then you can select that email and click on junk.
• If you want to report the e-mail message as a suspected phishing scam then you can click on Mark as - Phishing scam.
• You should also take away the email address from any newsgroup or bulletin board which is available on internet.
• If you want to remove the email address from mailing list then you have to click on the Unsubscribe. IUf you do that then Microsoft will notify the user who created the newsletter for not sending such messages again.

Do you have antivirus software installed in your computer. If not then install it to your computer. After installing make the firewall protection on. This will protect the unwanted threads from internet that can affect your email also. You should also change the password for your account just for security. Just do that and see whether it solves the problem or not.
