Internet Is not working on my lenovo g550 laptop

I have a lenovo g550 laptop purchased 1 week before. When i connected it to the modem for the internet connection it was not working. It was continously showing message like page cannot be displayed. Can some one please provide me with some solution for this. I am using a LAN connection.

Make sure that IP address and DNS server was set to obtain the address automatically to do this
1 Click on Start --> In search box, type ncpa.cpl and press "Enter"

If you are using wired network then right click on your local area connection icon or if you are using wireless network, then right-click on wireless network icon ---> Select "Properties" ---> scroll down and double click on "Internet

Protocol[TCP/IP]" . Make sure that

"Obtain IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically"

options are selected.

This solution might help you.
Click on Start --> In search box, type cmd and click on OK. Now enter this command ipconfig/all and press enter.
Make sure that IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS Servers
are having addresses.

If you are having any problem with the internet connection on your laptop then
Right click on the "Internet Explorer" icon---->Click on "Properties"---> Click on
"Connections" tab-->Click on LAN settings button. In that window uncheck all the options, if you notice any option selected.

You should format your pc and install a new version of windows. Even if that is not working then you must check whether your LAN is properly connected to the pc or not. Even then the problem still persist then you must call your internet service provider for the solution.
