What’s new in Internet Explorer 9?

I recently came to know that Microsoft is working on Internet Explorer 9. It is currently in its beta version. I would like to ask if someone have tried this new interface of IE9 and had any experience about the same. Is it worth to upgrade to or should we wait for the final release? And I would also like to know what's new in this Internet Explorer 9?

Here are few features which was introduced in new Internet Explorer 9:

Streamlined design: This is the first essential feature of Internet Explorer 9. The new IE9 will have a compact user interface. You will also have a Print or Zoom feature with new Internet Explorer 9.

Pinned Sites: This was the new feature which was introduced in IE9. It allows you to access them directly from the taskbar on your Windows 7 desktop. How to Pin a site? Its simple: click the icon to the left of the web address in the address bar and drag it to the taskbar. It will remain there until you remove it.

Enhanced tabs: Internet Explorer 9 has continued its support to multiple tab with this version. The new thing that was introduced with this version of IE was to view more than one tab at a time. You can drag out a tab from Internet Explorer and open it in a new window. Thus you can Snap it for side-by-side viewing.

New Tab page: Microsoft has also included a new tab page which displays the sites that you have visited most often and color codes them for quick navigation. There is also a site indicator bar which shows you how often you can visit each site.

Internet Explorer 9 has a lot of changes in it which includes visual changes like the toolbar area on the top of the window is so small that you will have enough space to view the web pages. It has also removed the drop-down menus for Page, Safety, Tools and other such buttons that you can see in its previous versions (IE7 and IE8). By default, IE9 has favorites toolbar and buttons hidden. It has also removed the search box which appeared next to the address bar in its previous versions. Instead of that, it has used "One Box" feature which means you can utilize the same address bar for navigating to a website as well as searching on your default search engine. By default the search engine would be Microsoft Bing, however you can change this at any moment.

There are yet more specialties of Internet Explorer 9. The Notification Bar appears at the bottom of Internet Explorer giving you important status information as and when required, but it won't force you to click a series of messages to continue browsing. IE9 has also introduced an Add-on Performance Advisor. Many a times some of the add-ons slows your browsing experience. So to monitor this behaviour, Microsoft have come up with a performance advisor which tells you if an add-on is slowing down your browser performance and it also allows you to disable or remove it. Apart from all these improvements, it also utilizes your computer's graphics processor (or GPU) to speed up performance.

IE9 has a lot or performance improvements. Microsoft claims IE9 can install, start, and run faster. When we say its fast we mean IE9 tries to ensure that it’s fast in real world applications. It has a new JavaScript Engine code named Chakra. This improves browsing quality and performance. You are also given a tool which suggests you to disable or remove any add-on which might be slowing down your web surfing. It also improved its download manager. Now your Internet Explorer can tell you if the file that you are downloading contains some malicious. You can even pause or restart your download at any time.
