Which do you prefer: Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD Master Audio

I have some question, the reason being that I seek to acquire a receiver 7.1 Onkyo and I hesitate between model decoding Dolby TrueHD ( TX - SR507 ) and decoding the DTS- HD ( TX - SR706 ) .The problem is that it's one or the other hard to choose even if this type of device is scalable. For now I am confused ! I wonder what is the best format : DTS HD Master Audio or Dolby True HD? Please help.

A CD is encoded into 16 bits 44.1 khz . Today the new material sound reproduction consumer home theater wear labels such as DTS- HD or Dolby TrueHD. DTS- HD and Dolby TrueHD are codecs. HD " of these labels mean literally , high definition, which for the common man , suggests that the sound we hear should be qualitatively superior to our cd. In fact , claim to be "HD , high definition. Based on this principle , we are entitled to the following analogy :
    - 16/44.1 kHz = SD
    - 24/96 & 24/192 khz = HD
We are therefore entitled to expect to hear at least the 24/96khz.

Dolby Digital and DTS formats audio 5.1 discrete , with independent tracks for surround effects to a perfect separation between the sounds from each channel. They both have an additional channel for the bass . The first differences appear at the digital data stream that will undoubtedly benefit the SDR. It has a resolution of 20 bits against 16 bits for the DD, and a compression ratio of four times smaller. The downside is that DTS is much more space than SD which has the effect of limiting some opportunities in languages, subtitles.

DTS HD offers a maximum throughput of 24 Mbps , allowing the 7.1 in 24 -bit 96 kHz. But in the version available on HD DVD and Blu - Ray DTS HD will adopt a max speed of 3 Mbps allowing while the 7.1 in 24 -bit 48 kHz. Both new formats are backward compatible. So an HD DVD or Blu - Ray may perfectly be encoded by a amplifier Dolby Digital , Dolby Digital EX , DTS and DTS ES. Ultimate development of Dolby Laboratories , the Dolby TrueHD is format multichannel audio Lossless , so no loss , allowing a 24 -bit 96 kHz 7.1.

DTS-HD Master Audio is a lossless encoding technology capable of delivering a sound bit for bit identical to the original made in the studio, to 7.1 (24-bit/96 kHz) or 5.1 (24-bit / 192 kHz). With DTS-HD Master Audio, consumers will be able to discover movies and music, exactly as intended by the artist with a clear, pure and uncompromised. There are various DTS, including DTS surround a six-channel, DTS-ES discrete or matrix according to whether or rear channels are forged or not (demosaicing two channels to create four channels, Dolby stereo principle cinema or prologic for public domain), DTS yet which incorporates the features of DTS surround but on decks high definition (up to 24 bits and 96 kHz).

DTS HD is the evolution of the SDR (5.1), but in high definition format is for HD-DVD (or Blu-ray) what the (DTS and Dolby Digital) for the DVD. It offers a maximum throughput of 24 Mbits / second (7.1 in the 24-bit 96 kHz) and an unlimited number of channels, however, the HD-DVD and Blu-ray limits the number of audio channels to 8 and a maximum flow of 3 Mbps, so a DTS HD 8-channel (7.1) in 24-bit / 48 kHz). Note that this format will be conveyed in a digital HDMI 1.3 connection at a minimum, the coaxial or optical digital connection without sufficient capacity to handle this format. Or if you have an amp scalable 7.1, it will be possible to take advantage of analog RCA cables through 8, the decoder located in the HD-DVD or Blu-ray.
