In Thunder bird the SMTP works as a part of it. When you sent an email, and tried to copy the mail into sent item folder, but you fail. I checked that the emails delivers with regard to every detail to the other hand. I have the same issue while my DAVMail is not running. And found that thae DAVMail is not configured with the Thunderbird correctly. The setting for DAVMail you have I am providing you the setting for the Thunderbird

    Type of account: IMAP
    Port no: 143
    Server Name: email.mailserver.com
Use secure connection: None (I found it. Assume None should work)
User Name: email.mailserver.com\loginname (also tried by using just the ‘loginname’)
It will surely help you to overcome….

Re: Setup Thunderbird using Davmail to access Outlook

I also facing this problem in my computer, having Linux (Ubuntu) PC, connected with Microsoft SBS 2008 server running exchange 2007. Using DEVMail for access to exchanges email, calendar, tasks and contacts. For the first few days it works great, but after that it goes slow to retrieve contents. Why it happens? Any tips..
