Can't go to ANY HTTPS sites

What will happen to you when you can not open any site from the browser, that you love much. Today, my Firefox has came up with this problem. Whenever I try to go to any HTTP site the browser can not let me connect there. It just throws an error, the error code is ssl_error_rx_record_too_long. This happens every time when I go to any HTTP site using the Firefox browser. However I can not find any kind of this error in IE 7 or IE 8. Please help.

Why don't you try creating another profile, rather a new profile.
    • First of all completely close the Firefox.
    • Now in the RUN window type firefox -P, and then click OK.
    • After this a Firefox - Choose User Profile will come up, there click on Create Profile button.
    • Then click Next.
    • After this fill in the details for the the required fields.
    • Now, Firefox - Choose User Profile, will rise whenever Firefox will be started.

Try this and see, if this work.

I am having the same problem but not with Mozilla Firefox, but with Internet Explorer. It was working fine, but when, I updated it from IE 7 to IE 8, I started to receive this problem. Well I have no problem with this, but I just encountered it and thought if any help can be received for this. Though I have tried everything, that could have been tried but could not succeed. I receive various errors like: Secure Connection Failed, Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm, Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap.

You have just mentioned that you received the error having the Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long. According to this error it actually means that the implementation of SSL on your server is not correct. The error is can be caused because of a server side problem. For this I think that the server administrator will have to look and investigate. Please make sure that port 443 is open and enabled on your server. Port 443 is the standard port for http.

I tried creating the new user profile, and while using that new profile yet I can not access any of the HTTP sites. I tried going to the Gmail, but could not access it. Please, do you all have any further solution. Please come up with further suggestions.
