Mobile Phones as Emerging Search Platforms

Most of you know mobile phones (Smart phones) like Blakberry, Apple iPhones and Google Android Phones are new devices, which are overtaking yesterday’s compact laptops. According to a Nielsen Media Research study, there are over 56.9 million mobile phone users that search the web on their handy devices every day.
Now, the time has come when one needs to work upon mobile web presence along with designing optimization strategy for the mobile searching applications. Consumers these days are browsing Internet from their mobile phones to find the services and products, which they are looking for. The technology is turning towards mobile phones.
The main point here is that if your website is not ranking well on Search Engines, it definitely will not do well in mobile searches too. Thus, its inadequate performance will face difficulty in holding the visitors. Hence, website owners need to be aware of this fact, to not lose the customers or traffic on their websites.
So, it’s better to go for website’s optimization and in-turn mobile search optimization to keep the visitors engaged.

Hello george and thanks for those ideas. But do you think mobile search optimization is different from a normal website optimization ? Is it that the website owner should undertake some additional steps in order to get on the top results for mobile phones also? If it so, can you suggest any?
