"Error 2 (net::ERR_FAILED): Unknown error." fix?

I uninstall and reinstall but this message " Error 2 (net: ERR_FAILED): Unknown error" occurs every time .. does anyone ever had this problem (and find the solution), I am not sure why I am getting this error, Can you please help me I am no longer able to use Google Chrome in my machine.

I am getting the same error on Google Chrome "Error 2" ... and Mozilla Firefox which continuously keeps crashing and command prompt, I am not able to launch through the "cmd.exe" execution. There is absolutely several malware that is a troubling. 'cause even AVG antivirus application checker cannot connect to server and Windows Defender update by the Microsoft Update is not getting install. Any debugging suggestions?

I have the same issue, except applications like uTorrent can you still have complete internet access. Its just that while connecting to several webpage on different web browser you obtain this error. This strange thing is its so random, several times I am able to surf the net for days with no any problems, other times internet can be 'blocked' for numerous hours. Any possibility this could be an ISP error?

I know plenty are being overwhelmed by this quandary of "Error 2 (net::ERR_FAILED): Unknown error." And here is the answer I attain in Vista Firewall. When inserting a rule, Vista classically uses variables in its file path, like that the following being Chrome's rule path:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe

However when I translate the file path to be additional "direct" like:

C:\Users\MYUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
