Google Chrome Crashes upon Start-up

I have purchased a new Sony Vaio laptop. And it is running on the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. I have installed the new Google chrome web browser on my laptop. But I am getting some problem with my web browser when I start it suddenly crashes. Please help me to solve my problem.
