Internet Explorer 8 32 bit vs 64 bit What is the difference

I have purchased a new HCL Me laptop just yesterday and i am running the 64bit version of windows 7. I have also noticed that i am having internet explorer 32 bit which is by default as well as a 64 bit internet explorer browser. Can anyone tell me what is the difference between Internet explorer 8 32 bit and Internet explorer 8 64 bit. Which of the tow version are better Thanks for any insight.

The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a computer's processor (also called a CPU), handles information. The 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system. As far as i know the 64 bit version is more better than the 32 bit version since it is very much faster and efficient than the other. Hope that this will help you to get the problem resolved.

Basically there are two versions of operating system installed on your system when you install the Internet Explorer 8 on your system. the two versions of the internet explorer 8 one is a 32 bit and the other one is a 64 bit version and the internet explorer 8 64 bit is the default browser. Using the 32 bit will be better because there is no flash support for IE8 64 bit.

The main disadvantage has to do directly with older software and drivers, as the 16-bit applications will not work, while some 32-bit might work considerably worse. This, coupled with the 32-bit drivers will not work either, says that if you have old hardware or want to continue using old software, it is better to stay with the 32 bits.
