Internet Explorer 8 "Security Warning" - Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?

Hi, I always get a popup window about "Security Warning" on some websites like ebay that is Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely? This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS connection, which could comprise the safety of the entire webpage" and so on? If I switch between from http to https even then I get this annoying message that never happened in Internet Explorer 7? Can anyone please tell me how do I get rid of this annoying message? Thanks

Have you changed the way Internet Explorer 8 gives you warning about switching between http and https sites by opening IE8 and clicking "Tools" button and then selecting the Internet Options and then going into the advanced tab. In there, if you can go and check at the bottom then you will notice an option called "warn if changing between secure and non secure mode". Note that this will compromize all your security while browsing that particular site.

I think that techguru01 didnt give us the right option to solve this issue. Actually we need to set the disable mixed content for disabling (which will then prompt), lets say for an example; we need to double click on the security zone icon in the Status Bar, and then have to click Custom Level and find that option, usually anybody can find it in the Miscellaneous section which we can also get by pressing M and then scrolling down to see the option.

Simple follow the below steps to disable the "Security Warning" in Internet Explorer 8:

    1. First you need to goto Tools->Internet Options->Security
    2. Then from there Select the ‘Security’ tab
    3. After that click the ‘Custom Level’ button
    4. Now lastly, in the ‘Miscellaneous’ section change “Display mixed content” to Enable.

Thats it, its done, all the security warnings now will be disabled.

I dont understand why doesnt Microsoft simply includes a user friendly button that gives users a choice to diable this annoying message when this pops up like for example click yes to be warned and click no to dispense with the warnings once and for all? I have been looking a way to disable this thing off until I found the solution written above. Thanks to all

Re: Internet Explorer 8 "Security Warning" - Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?

The reason for the warning is that you’re on an SSL-secured (https protocol) page that is attempting to load non-SSL (http protocol) content. Something to note is that the dialog does not prompt if you’re on an HTTP page and you request HTTPS URL. Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is an Application Layer protocol that is a combination of HTTP and SSL (Secure Socket Layer) or TLS (Transport Layer Security). HTTPS connections are used for secure transfer of data between the website and the client. Messages are secure since the HTTP message is encrypted via SSL or TLS and then sent on the network/internet. When the message is received by the addressed station, it decrypts the message.
