eBay virus alert

I have heard of a virus which is floating around the eBay website right now. Moreover reports are saying that a number of users have been affected by the same. Anyone aware of this since i frequently use ebay for purchasing and selling my products i do not want my system to be corrupted. Please help

As far as i know this virus is only a Rumours there are no such viruses which can corrupt your system so i would suggest you to continue using the ebay without any sort of hesitation if you have a very good and powerful antivirus on your system do not worry about any sort of viruses. These are all just rumours

I have heard of a virus which appears as a pop-up on selected listings on the eBay. It will prompt you for some social security number and then it will ask you to fill some mis spelled words. I would also recommend you to avoid giving your ssn if it prompts you to for SSN for this Pop-up. Close this popup to get rid of this problem.

In such situation i would recommend you not to give your SSN for this pop-up. Finally close the window from the top of firefox or internet Explorer or whichever browser you may be using with your system. Then restart browsing with a new session. After this has been done clear the cache and delete the temp files.
