Linux FS Version 5.7 and root

While i was evaluating the File Server version in the root only the on demand scanner was running. Moreover i also tried to change the cache option in order that it is stored within the tmp instead of the /var/opt/kaspersky after this has been done it gives an error message that the license details could not be loaded. Although my user is added to Kluser group.

When you see the documentation properly regarding the kaspersky and Antivirus for the linux 5.7 file server. It is clearly written in the kav5.7_linuxfsen.pdf file that on-demand scan can be launched only by the root user. This statement clearly indicates that it is almost possible to run the on-demand scan as a non root user after certain adjustments.

I downloaded Kaspersky Business Space Security as trial version. This would be to install on Windows XP workstations and a file server (Samba) running Debian. So I downloaded my version of Samba package for *. deb, install it, and it is the activation key request that it stops working. I fill the file path of the key, andit said:"Key Rejected - not valid for this product. None of the files found Kaspersky Lab License IS valid for this product."

I do not know what is the product version you get, but I advise you to install the beta version which is compatible with the samba since the version which you may be using with your system is not working because it is not compaitblw with the samba version of the linux. Hence i would advice you to get this problem solved by installing
