    Adobe lens profile creator

    Adobe lens profile creator

    Introduction :
Adobe releases first public beta of Lens Profile Creator. The free utility lets you create profiles for use in optical Photoshop CS5, Camera Raw and Lightroom 6 3. The profiles created by this application include the steps required to characterize and correct for optical defects, and more precisely the distortion, lateral chromatic aberration and vignetting. To do this you must shoot a test pattern printed in large format, convert images in DNG and open them (or files JPEG or TIFF) in the utility Lens Profile Creator to generate a custom. It is also possible to send the profile created on a site to share with other like-minded photographers.

If only for the time profiles of optical Sigma are taken into account, the module Lens Profile Creator will still create your own profiles of optical correction. Awesome? Yes and no because it takes to photograph the sights that came with the module and upload your images to create the correct profile from A to Z, which may be laborious to zoom. But for a knowledgeable user, it will always be the fallback if his view is not supported in the near future. At least Adobe hopes to enrich its database with the beta-testers? Oops ... that do not recall it DXO? Well! What we particularly remember with this module is that Adobe is going towards the correction of optical and it makes us smile Fast.

Follow these steps to take advantage of this free software:
    - Download the application from adobe official site

    - Decompress the file zip (Windows) or file DMG (Mac) to use it; a facility is not required.

    - For a quick overview of the functions, start the software and load the image format such as JPEG to create a profile of optical correction. Check if the necessary instructions for more information.

    - Select one of the rods format PDF that best suits the type of target, print it and mount it on a rack. Enlighten this pattern evenly and turn it into multiple images. The publisher recommends at least three and ideally nine images for each adjustment (aperture, focal length).

Choosing the most appropriate focus is not always easy
    - Then, export files RAW format to DNG with Camera Raw to maintain metadata EXIF object if needed to identify and create profiles for automatic recognition.

    - If you want to create profiles dedicated to files JPEG and TIFF, expand the files DNG using Lens Profile Creator.

    - Save the profiles in the (s) file (s) provided (s) for Photoshop CS5, Camera Raw and Lightroom can access for correction of optical defects.

    - Send the profile created on the site devoted to software (now sadly empty ...) to share with other photographers.
