samsung bd-c6500 connects to wireless network but not internet

trying to get this player to connect to the internet. Network test shows all is well except it thinks an http port blocked or firewall is on. firewalls all disabled. samsung tech support was unsuccessful talking me thru this, I have a cable modem running thru a wrt54g router wpa2 security, tried it with security off and on, next step is firmware flash upgrade. samsung says call my isp, which to me is code for we don't know how to fix this as all my other computes, iphone, etc can connect. any ideas?

Updated firmware to latest available BSP-C6500WWB-1010.4.RUF . I also tried a wired ethernet connection with and without firewall enabled, unit passes all other network tests except internet connectivity; still get " the http port is disabled, please check if it is blocked by something like an internal firewall." For some reason I was unable to bypass the router completely by hooking up the ethernet cable direct to the player from the cable modem, if someone knows what settings to use in that instance or how to get the setting please let me know..

    thanks

just got the ip address of the player and in my wrt54g fowarded ports 80, 443 and 8080 to that ip address and enabled. I read that might do something for me but no..(but I know little about ports and this router and its software so maybe I did more harm than good, but it didn't work, same error, wired or wireless.)

If you change the Server Document --> Ports panel --> Internet Ports panel --> "TCP/IP Port for HTTP" option to "Enabled," you will be able to preview the design elements. However, if you open the database through a browser, you will no longer be redirected to SSL.

Start Regedt32.exe and locate the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ServiceProvider\ServiceType\W3SVC

Find the TCP Port value and double-click it.

The DWORD Editor dialog box should appear with the default value (0x50 Hex; 80 Decimal) listed. Change the decimal value to the number of the port that you want the World Wide Web Publishing Service to listen to.

NOTE: You can also follow steps 2 and 3 to change the following services:
    MSFTPSVC: FTP Publishing Service
    GOPHERSVC: Gopher Publishing Service

    Exit Regedt32.exe.

Stop and Restart the IIS Services by Using the Internet Service Manager.

I just tried to connect the player directly to the cable modem, bypassing the router and it worked after resetting the player, so it is definitely a router or pc issue causing the problem

that registry subkey does not appear on this win xp machine... also, why does any setting on a machine attached to the network have an effect on any other connection? I thought only the ROUTER settings would affect attached machines...does this mean if I disconnect all other pcs attached to the router I would be able to connect through it successfully with the player? I apologize for all the questions but I'm in new territory here..
