Games For Windows Live won't update, help

I have been using a custom made desktop installed with a license copy of the windows 7 operating system. But i am unable to make out why i am not able to update my games for windows live. Since when ever i try to install the updates manually it hangs on after sometime then i had to shutdown my system forcefully. Anyone aware what is happening please help.....

The system hear is not updating because either you may have turned of the automatic updates so the best solution to this situation is to get that turned on from the security center. Also make it sure that you have installed an antivirus and it is working correctly since sometimes when your system is not working correctly then it will not allow to install the updates.
