bsod minidump when i dl, wonder if it's because of my modem

for the last year i've been xperiencing bsod minidump when i use a utorrent or simply a ftp connection, just upgraded my windows from vista to 7 ultimate, but dont think the problem lies there because the problem has been the same wether it was one or the other.

r u connecting the modem internally or externally, if externally is it usb or normal connectors, did you try to update the drivers for win 7 or r u using legacy drivers? Uninstall the dialer software(if any) and reinstall it to check out.

i have a external usb connection and simply using drivers that followed when i bought it, cant seem to find any driver updates for Motorola SURFboard SB5100 USB Cable Modem, could it help if i connected via ethernet instead.?

Well, i am not sure whether it will work or not when connected via ethernet. But you can download the updated driver for Motorola SURFboard SB5100 USB Cable Modem attached with this post. In future you can also find latest version of this driver with the help of a tool named UpdateMyDrivers. Download UpdateMyDrivers as well.
