Error code: 450 : 0x800482d4

Hello friends,

I am trying to download widgets for Windows Vista from hotmail, before downloading it i have to registered myself as a member, when i try to create hotmail account i am getting following error code Error code: 450 : 0x800482d4 . I thought that it might be some issue with cookies i try to delete those cookies too and re-submit the registration form but I still got the same error. Does anyone know how to overcome from this error code.

Can you tell me which browser are you using, if you are using Internet explorer, then i would suggest you to install other browser like Opera or Mozilla Firefox and then try to registered yourself, if you still receive same error code then i would suggest to call your Internet service provider and tell them to change your IP address or use some else computer and see are you able to register yourself with same connection.

Thanks for replying me Aarpitt, i have try to change my IP address and even use different browser for registration process but still i am getting Error code: 450 : 0x800482d4, i don't know what the exact issue. When i told one of my friend about the error code, he told me that he is also facing same issue. Don't know what's the exact matter it seems that there is some issue with hotmail.

I was also getting Error code: 450 : 0x800482d4 when i was trying to registered myself with Windows Live ID. In that case i would suggest you to go to https://support.live.com/default.aspx?productkey=wlid over there you can click on any topics on the left panel and wait for whole page to get loaded once it gets completed click on Get more help which is on the lower right corner of the page and click on Get support where you have to have to fill out e-form and then click Submit.

I've been having this same error message every time I try to sign up for a live.com email account. It says I've reached my limit of account activation in that day but I only tried once. But when I go to the live.com support section and try to get help - the screen comes up "not found."

So I thought I'd try this forum.


My IP address is 121.1.18.244


When I went to www.whatismyip.com it came back that I was banned and when I talked to Brian Gilbert at www.whatismyip.com he said that multiple users were going out to the internet and that he show my IP hitting their site at a rate of more then once every 30 seconds.

I also tried emailing 121.1.18.244@msn.com but got a returned email saying it was deliverable from
postmaster@hotmail.com

Someone suggested that there was a "Script" running in the background.
Another suggested that of a "Proxy Server."

I hope this information helps to resolve the error code 450 problem.
