When I sign in to my yahoo or hotmail e-mail accounts it says
"You are about to leave a secure internet connection. It will be possible for others to view information you send".
Can this be avoided or stopped.

Which browser are you using? I was facing the same problem when I used Internet Explorer for browsing the internet. After installing Mozilla firefox on the system, I never faced the same error again. Hence I will suggest that you try using some other browser and see if the problem persists.
