Kindle 2 doesn't save last page read

I have to discuss one of my confusion about the kindle 2 functionality. I was reading 3rd page of the ebook, then I turn off my kindle. But when I turn on the kindle 2, it displayed the first page of the ebook rather 3rd page. So it's quite frustrated to start from last page read. I don't have idea if it's problem of only my kindle 2 or all of the kindle 2 series. Please help me to sort out this kindle 2 issue.

I am having the similar issue with my kindle 2. I had contacted to customer service support, but didn't get positive response from them. This problem of kindle 2 becomes very serious when the ebook which you are reading with kindle 2 comprises more number of pages for example 500 pages. There is very simple solution for this kindle issue. If you want you kindle2 to remember the last page read of your ebook, for that you need to make sure that wireless of you kindle 2 is on before you shut off your kindle 2. I suggest you to try this trick over you kindle 2 to remember the last page read. And let me know it's working for you or not.

It seems that you kindle 2 is faulty, because I am also using the kindle 2 from one month but didn't get this type of issue. You can also try to customize the setting of you kindle 2.
