How Hypervisor is involved in Virtualization

Hi,
How does hypervisor play a role in virtualization. In order to setup a data center virtualization can be a key aspect. But this really is a flexible option. Implementing high end machines and maintaining them on the same hand makes your cost quiet high with complex management. This is sometime what cause virtualization options to stay a step back.

Under hypervisors it is indeed very easy to create a library environment ready as we can deploy a single click. This enables a few minutes a test environment, but also to destroy it within minutes if needed. An almost instantaneous compared to hours or days it used to configure a test server. It is also very easy to clone an active environment for manipulation and attempt to verify its feasibility before executing a real environment.

re: How Hypervisor is involved in Virtualization

Many companies have started implementing hypervisors in their testing environments and development. All coupled with interfaces that allow users to activate these environments themselves virtual machines they need. Soon companies were able to test the promises of virtualization and hypervisors have gradually acquired their letters of nobility, to be considered mature to cope with demand production environments.

The main motivation for the adoption of virtualization is cost reduction related to server consolidation. This is with this objective in mind that most large French companies have launched their virtualization projects. The idea is relatively simple to understand. A non-virtualized x86 server is used on average 5 to 10% capacity (which, incidentally, also says a lot about the excesses of manufacturers and companies in the design and procurement of servers).

The virtualization application service fossil In some cases, virtualization is a tool for preserving valuable legacy applications that it wishes to secure. This allowed us to ensure the availability of these applications with very few benefits in terms of performance. Consolidation allows firstly to significantly reduce equipment costs, but also make considerable savings on hosting machines and power consumption.

The technology, used well, also promises greater flexibility for deployment, simplifying administration and significant improvements in availability, continuity of service or business occasions. All of which involved the creation of what many analysts call the Dynamic Datacenter. This transition towards more flexibility, however, requires costly investments in software administration.
