What are the shortcomings of cloud computing?

In fact, cloud computing refers to a pattern: you use the application and save the file stored on a remote server. You can use your PC through the network (in many cases, the Internet) to access these applications and documents. Cloud computing is not a new concept in fact, due to computer networks, particularly the Internet is becoming increasingly popular, with "time connected" broadband connectivity increasingly widespread, this old concept into the limelight. This is the basic concept of cloud computing but I want to know what are short coming of cloud computing.

If you put applications and data on the network, but cannot be stable, reliable access and access to the network, then the cloud computing impossible to attract your interest. If the thought of his own data is stored in the remote, the application is not installed on your computer, I felt lost too much control, then cloud computing may not hanging cannot afford your appetite. This model will certainly require computer users to change the thinking; take some time to use to this pattern.

But beyond that, in the cloud computing, data security, there are still worrying some of the major problems. A large number of data is stored in off-site large-scale "data center", which hackers and that the control of information as the reins of power to other people is a tempting target. Companies need to be assured that their data had actually been secured.

In addition, the reliability is still a problem. If the network goes down, or if the access to the network the connection paralysis, unless the problem has been resolved, or you will not be able to access their own data. In addition, if you have those applications and store data in the data center malfunction or shut down, unless the problem has been resolved, or you only themselves to blame bad luck. Although in theory, cloud computing from the user's point of view is more environmentally friendly, but all that data and applications must be stored somewhere on the machine; but these machines are running at any time, thus large energy consumption.

    Cloud computing applications

For years you may have been slowly moving closer to the cloud computing environment, but fails to recognize Bale. For example, if you have an Internet e-mail account, can be said to join the cloud computing trend. If the majority of Yahoo or Gmail users through the Internet retrieve, read and write e-mail. If there is no cloud computing, they cannot use e-mail applications, cannot access e-mail itself. Google Docs has a very powerful, and free online word processing program, spreadsheet program, presentation and documentation procedures, it is the traditional office applications in the cloud computing model using an example. Microsoft has also announced plans to offer on-line suite of Office productivity tools, on the cloud computing environment.
