Firefox and Mozilla continues to develop while TraceMonkey JavaScript engine today brought a marked improvement in performance over its predecessor, the developers browser JaegerMonkey comment that offer an improvement of between 30 and 40% versus TraceMonkey. Developers are not only working on a new JavaScript engine, but also are studying what happens when you can not handle the TraceMonkey JavaScript on the page. The problem then is that Firefox uses its basic interpreter and then becomes slow. |

| Re: Need information on JaegerMonkey Javascript engine
It is right that JaegerMonkey can be future of javascript engine. The gains in performance when the engine does its job upto 30-40% faster. JagerMonkey is able to run the SunSpider and all it implies an improvement of 18% compared to the interpreter mode. And as said, there are still many optimizations and many more things to do. They are therefore working hard to avoid that step and hence the drop in performance. As discussed initial tests have produced positive results. |

| Re: Need information on JaegerMonkey Javascript engine
The main purpose to develop an engine in addition to extremely fast, is to improve technical aspects that the current engine can not do, how to interpret some highly complex code, something that Firefox developers are aware and that is why we are working on this new engine, whose previous test in SunSpider yield improvements of 30 and 45% in 32 and 64-bit respectively, compared to the interpreter. |
