iChat Encryption Failed

Hi,

I have a problem that iChat encryption fails. It gives me error message, iChat Encryption could not be activated for username@mac.com. Your iChat encryption identity failed to verify with .mac. Encryption has been disabled. I have tried activating the feature through preferences many times. Even I have closed iChat and deleted its preferences. But still the problem is not solved.

When you are in a safe place to chat, the lock icon in the upper right corner of the chat window is solid black. The padlock icon is dark, while the connection is secure. If there are problems getting a connection, the lock icon and pulses red alert on the screen. Make sure you have paid. Mac, and has not expired.

Make sure you and your friends are using Mac OS X v10.4.3 or later. And also make sure that the certificate. Secure iChat on your Mac is key and has not expired. To check, open Keychain Access, located in Applications> Utilities, then double click the certificate. Secure Mac iChat to display the expiration date. See if the date and time are correct on your computer.

If you can not retrieve a copy of your certificate of secure iChat site. Mac, it is better to copy the certificate from the another computer and install it on your key on the computer you are using. To do this, locate the certificate in your key on the computer that have been used to secure iChat. Choose Export from the File menu. Copy of certificate for export to other computers, then double click the file to open it in Keychain Access. Choose Login from the pop-up menu and enter your Keychain password manager if necessary.
