Toolbar buttons not visible in Google chrome

Hello there, I am facing an unusual problem while using Google Chrome. My computer has Windows XP operating system on it and Google Chrome is set as the default browser on the computer. The problem which I am facing is that Toolbar buttons are not visible in Google chrome. The buttons still work when I click on the space where the buttons are supposed to be but they are not visible. Is this because of some virus? Please help.

Scan your computer with some updated antivirus as their are high chances that the computer is infected by some kind of virus which is creating such problems. Virus's get downloaded while visiting certain websites or while downloading some data from the internet. Virus's have the tendency to link with the files of the applications which are frequently used. If such a situation occurs then the application will not work properly. Therefore scan the system and check for all the infected files. Repair or quarantine the files which are infected. After cleaning all the infected files from the computer, check if the browser is working properly or not.

Try disabling all the add-on/applications which are installed on the browser. Sometimes the files of the application/add-on which are installed on the browser are corrupt. If such corrupt application/add-on is installed on the browser, it will corrupt the files of the browser also which will create problems in normal working of the browser. Therefore disable all the applications/add-on on the browser and check the performance of the browser. If the browser works properly after disabling all the add-ons then find and remove the application/add-on which is creating problem.

The version which is installed on the computer must be corrupt due to which you are facing such problems with Google chrome. All the applications have lot of files which are associated to it. If any of the file associated to the application gets corrupt then the application will not work properly. The only solution to the problem is to replace all the corrupted files. Once all the corrupted files are replaced then you will not face the same problem again. Uninstall the browser from the computer and remove all the files/keys from the computer. Once all the traces of the application are removed, install the application again and check if the problem persist or not.

Have you updated the browser recently? If yes then it must have created this problem. The recent available update for Google chrome had some problems with the theme. The update tried to update the theme of the browser. In some cases the theme was not updated successfully and hence the buttons on the browser appear to be invisible. Change the theme back to its default theme and your problem will be solved. Right click on the toolbar and then select Change theme. Select the default theme and click OK. Now the default theme will be applied to the browser.
