How to download podcasts

I have a mac os x. I want to download the podcast proposed by itunes and whenever that is downloaded is an empty white envelope. What I lack there? please tell me procedure to do this, Thanks for any help.

In the Advanced menu, select "Subscribe to Podcast ..." and enter the URL for the podcast feed. iTunes subscribe to podcasts and begin downloading immediately.

It is easy to tell iTunes the shelf life of podcasts in your library. When browsing the podcasts you've downloaded, you will see a Settings button at the bottom of the window jukebox. Search for a directory of podcasts. These should be listed alphabetically or by genre. Once you find the podcast you want to download, use the software that you downloaded (if necessary) and save it to a media device of your choice (Windows Media Player, QuickTime, iTunes, etc.. ) When the download is complete, it will be located on your hard drive in the device

Simple 4 steps:

1. Find the podcast you want to download
   
2. Copy the URL of the podcast
   
3. Paste the URL into your iTunes to subscribe.
   
4. Allow the program to download the podcast.

The simplest possible link you can send or post to your site is the podcast feed URL. It usually looks something like: http://www.example.com/feed.xml

Many bloggers and site owners post the link as-is. To make a one-click subscription link, instead of “http”, add "itpc" in front of your podcast’s url to make subscription one-click simple. For example:

itpc://www.example.com/podcast.xml

iTunes immediately takes over and begins downloading the first episode.
