How to configure WDS on WNHDE11?

hi friend
i am using laptop for my office use. I have installed windows xp operating system in my system. It is totally wireless networking with access point as well as router and so many other things. WDS is a technology which can enable the wireless connection the access point so i want to know that about WDS as well as i want to know that,How to configure WDS on WNHDE11?

Basically WDS,we also called it wireless distribution system. It is a system which can enable the wireless connection of the access points in an IEEE 802.11 network. The WDS system allows to the wireless network to expanded use of the multiple access point without any need of wired backbone. WDS often referred to as repeater mode because it appears to bridge and accept wireless clients at the same time.The Wi-Fi Alliance do not certify WDS, so there is no guarantee that one model of access point can do WDS to a different model of access point.

The WNHDE111 supports WDS (Wireless Distribution System) or sometimes referred to as Repeater mode. When a WNHDE111 is configured as a repeater, you will be able to connect wired and wireless devices to it at the same time. When you want to setup WDS between 2 WNHDE111 the firstly set the Mode to AP. After that Connect a cable to the WNHDE111 port, and the other end to a router LAN port. Then run the configuration assistant to scan for WNHDE111 on the network. When display the configuration assistant window, double-click the WNHDE111and finally open the web GUI then you can follow the display instruction.

The WDS is a Wireless Distribution System which offers the 2 modes. The first one of mode which is Wireless Bridging in that type of mode access points which are communicate only with each other .make sure that they don't allow the station or client of wireless to access them as well as another one of that type of mode which is Wireless Repeating in that type of mode the Access Points communicate with each other and it also communicate with the wireless clients. When you want to set up WDS between 2 WNHDE111 that time firstly go to the back of the WNHDE111 then set the Mode to AP. Then connect cable to WNHDE111 port, and the other end to a router LAN port as well as connect to the other port of the WNHDE111, and the other end to a PC. For the scan ,run the Configuration Assistant then open the web GUI after that select a channel from the drop-down list for the wireless Chanel you can also select WEP for the wireless security,For WEP key 1 to 4, type your 10 Hex digits security key,then click apply after that enable WDS by clicking the box next to WDS Enable. Finally Enter the MAC address of the other WNHDE111.
