What is the iChat Jabber Account

Hi,
I have heard about some enhancement in Snow Leopard for iChat. I am managing a MAC network of some dozen pc's. The issue is that I want to manipulate all the new enhancements in the operating system. Like iChat management and other services. As compare to MAC OS X what new is provided in Snow leopard for a better management of mac network. What does this iChat Jabber account offers.

Since the release of Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) iChat supports Jabber accounts.
