    Re: What is OMR Software

OMR forms are very specialized documents. Timelines along the margin of the form tell the scanner where to read the marks. OMR forms also contain markings (black squares at the beginning and end of the forms). In addition, the court of each OMR form is extremely precise and OMR bubbles should be positioned exactly in the same location on each form.

    Re: What is OMR technology

If documents need to be stored electronically and maintained, the reproduction of images is necessary. With ICR and OCR technology, images can be reproduced by scanning, ordered by an index, and written in optical format. The images can then be retrieved and printed according to your needs. With OMR technology, document imaging are not read by the scanner, so the image storage and retrieval is not possible.

Re: What is OMR used for

OMR technology can provide an efficiency of 99.9% accuracy in reading data in a printed document quality. The ICR and OCR technology can provide an efficiency of 98% accuracy if the system is configured properly, the forms are well designed, the characters received are neat and clean of errors, and if you use a contextual issue. This approximates the same percentage of accuracy achieved by the processing of manual data entry.

    Re: OMR Data Analysis

An OMR scanner is able to maintain a level of processing from 2,000 to 10,000 forms per hour. This activity can be controlled and processed by a single terminal, which in turn is able to handle any volume the scanner generates. Increasing the processing power simply requires improving the type of scanner. The ICR and OCR software can not be used with a esc aner OMR.

    Re: OMR Scanner Sheet Software

The imaging technology is much more flexible. There are no time lines in the margins or forms with identification marks, images can "float" on the page. ICR and OCR technologies used trademark, which also appear as triangles on the four margins of a document for recognition of an image. Documents with information to be extracted and sent to a device containing ICR boxes to be completed by recipients of the forms. These boxes only allowed one letter per box.

In both types of color documents is of paramount importance. The use of opaque colors hue ostensibly reduces the size of the transmission between the scanner and computer with an image scanner. The use of opaque colors in an OMR scanner allows the use of pens (in addition to pencils) for the filling of forms . In both types of scanner-OMR and image scanner, the use of opaque colors ensures accuracy of results.
