    Wireless safety on a hotspot

    Hi,
When you connect to a WiFi hotspot in the street, library, hotel, restaurant, airport or any public network, security and confidentiality of your information is greatly threatened. I am traveling guy. My work is to moved to other branches of my computer. So I am very much concerned about this. What are the security options available for the same.

Most access points wireless public do not use encryption which means that all data exchanged is visible and usable. Any person with a network sniffing software can capture and read data exchanged: emails that you exchange, the pages visited, your user-names and passwords used (on pages that are not secure in HTTPS / SSL) .

On the wire-line public networks on which you connect your computer is a bit more complicated to get your data, but a network administrator can easily see the trade unsecure network and see exactly what you do on the Internet. The solution to surf the Internet safely and not risk being robbed of information if you want to connect to a public network is to use a virtual private network, commonly known as VPN.

A VPN is a sort of encrypted tunnel between two points (your computer and a remote server) where all data in transit are fully encrypted and protected. So when you are connected to a public network, nobody can see the data that you exchange. This is where you need help. You will need an application which can help you to surf via VPN Tunneling.

In VPN passing through multiple nodes to encapsulate and secure your data in an encrypted tunnel necessarily impact the speed of your Internet browsing. This is the price of privacy. A book so navigation on the Internet, exchange e-mails and instant messaging. So do not count (yet or at least on free VPN) you begin downloading files that flows really too low.

You can run a simple freeware tools. This tool can run a secure VPM tunnel for your surfing. This helps to protect your incoming and outgoing communication. That meas you will be much safer in email, web, im, voip, calling, ftp, etc. And that too on any wi-networking. You can get a copy from the official site and check back your requirements.
