    What are the best Messengers for Linux

    Hi,
    I am using a Ubuntu laptop. I need messenger for the same. I was trying to install Yahoo Messenger on it using Wine. But the same is not working. What are the best messengers recommended for Linux based operating systems. And what feature does they offered. What is recommended messenger for Ubuntu.

    You might have heard about Pidgin. It is an popular messenger for Ubuntu. The best part of this software is that it support multiple protocols.
