Hi,

You can configure Hotmail to on your iPhone. I have done it and working really nicely. To do this first you need to upgrade to a Hotmail Plus account (although, apparently they will be offering POP3 on free accounts, as well, sometime within the next year). It sounds like POP3 on the paid Hotmail accounts is something that was just "officially" enabled.
Microsoft has recently opened the POP3 and SMTP ports of its webmail, it is now possible to receive and send mail from his iPhone with his or Live Hotmail account. And by extension, through any mail client. To begin, select Settings on the home screen, then Mail, Contacts, Calendar. Choose Add Account, and another for access to manual settings.
Enter the name of your choice, your Hotmail or Live, your password and possibly the description of the account (personal, pro, etc..). Save your settings to access the next step.
Select POP from the top of the screen, then fill in the field receiving server as follows:
Hostname: pop3.live.com
Username: your Hotmail/Live
Password: your password Hotmail Live
For the sending server:
Hostname: smtp.live.com
Username: your Hotmail/Live
Password: your password Hotmail/Live
Click Save to complete the account setup. After a few seconds, the iPhone starts to download the latest messages in Mail application.
Here are settings:
Incoming Mail Server:
Host Name: pop3.live.com
User Name: example@hotmail.com
Password: password (note: enter your Hotmail password)
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):
Host Name: smtp.live.com
User Name: example@hotmail.com (
Password: password (note: enter your Hotmail password)
Advanced Settings:
Incoming Uses SSL: On
Outgoing Uses SSL: On
Authentication: Password
Delete from Server: When removed from Inbox (or your preferred option)
