    Firefox freezes while browsing

    Hi,
In my computer Firefox browser freezes while working in between. I am surfing some sites and suddenly all the tabs get hang. After that when I press on the close button I got a end process box. I think the browser is corrupted. Is this due to virus or any other reason. What are the steps to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.

Firefox is a new generation of browser and it is known for its speed display from Internet Explorer, but it is still possible to greatly accelerate the speed of display, with a few simple settings. In the address bar of Firefox, type about: config and press. Then find the following values using the filter bar if necessary, and change by double-clicking it. They are network.dns.disableIPv6 => true, network.http.pipelining => true, network.http.pipelining.maxrequests => 8 and network.http.proxy.pipelining => true.

You an add up a new entry here to make or speed your Firefox. But make sure that by this you are configuring the Firefox default settings which can cause a crash also. This can be fixed only if the browser is re-intalled. Add a new entry. Simply make a click is anywhere, select New and then numeric value, to name nglayout.initialpaint.delay this new entry and give value to 0. Then just restart Firefox to apply the changes.

The PID (process identifier) will allow us then, via the Task Manager to confirm the process that establishes the connection. Right click on the taskbar and select Task Manager or go to Start, then Run and type taskmgr.exe and press. If the PID column is not displayed in the Task Manager, go to the View menu then Select Columns and check PID (Process Identifier). This can be only used if you are familar with the internet process.

You can also use TCPView is a freeware tool that allows a list of all TCP and UDP ports used and the applications that use them. Besides the ease of use, the advantage of TCPView from the etstat command is that it allows to close a connection without having to close the corresponding process. This is a nice software which can help you to see the tip monitor the Internet connection.

Whenever there is fluctuation in your internet connectivity the firefox gets freezes in between. The second reason can be your firfox is corrupted or damaged. This happens if you add new addons on your browser. Simple disable it and restart the browser. Disable all the toobars and addons in the toolsmenu. If possible try to re-install the same.
