Hi,
What is a Domain Name System or DNS. I am looking for a overview and working of this service. How does it works and why it is necessary. What I know is that it is related to some web url. Without this your web site cannot work. How to check this. How to find out the DNS of any site. Also what are the negative aspects of this service online.

When a user accesses your site by typing your domain name, "Internet" will first go query the database to find the Registrar is the DNS that has authority for this website.
