    Cloud computing security threats

Is the cloud technology putting us and our information at risk ? I read in one article that the most recent conference Black Hat in Las Vegas brought together a group of researchers on security issues which demonstrated new ways to attack the services that operate through cloud computing. What you says about this?

A recent example of the consequences of using insecure passwords was evident recently in the case Twittergate. This was an event in which a hacker gained numerous corporate documents belonging to the service popular microblogging, Twitter, published by technology news site, and TechCrunch.

These documents were hosted on Google Docs and although Google can not accept responsibility for the information leak, the files had not been stolen in the first place if they were probably housed behind a firewall, something like the model of the old school. Instead, the key information from the company was on the verge of being discovered, "a decryption password away."

The difference between a corporate network and an online account is that in a business ecosystem, administrators can create pol.

Encryption of data in the cloud

Another of the weaknesses (little known) of cloud computing is that few machines have access to randomly generated numbers that are needed to encrypt information. The details of this mess are too technical but the result is that the very nature of virtual computing makes the task much easier for hackers because they can easily guess the numbers used to generate encryption keys.

While this is not an immediate problem that threatens the integrity of the cloud, it will require the long-term research. Properly use the cloud services Considering the problems described above, probably will think twice before relying on services that work across the cloud. Even worse, the reading material about the dangers of this new trend is bound to scare us.

Cloud computing may pose serious data security threats to businesses wanting to save on software licensing and support services . According to Conti, "The information we are all giving to online companies is massive and dangerous and [security's] going to get worse before it gets better."
