How to increase internet speed of MTNL broadband

I am MTNL broadband user my plan ADSL 256/64 Kbps .
whenever i test my speed using MTNL site, every time speed in between 178/52 kbps

I use Dlink DSL 200 USB modem
I use Windows Vista
Pl'z suggest me how i increase my bandwidth?

Increase internet speed by editing the registry

If you want to increase the speed for windows and spyware updates then use following steps.
1. Go to Start-> Run-> and type gpedit.msc
2. Explorer the Administrative Templates
3. Explorer the Network button
4. Highlight the “Quality of Service Packet Scheduler”
5. In the right window pane double-click the “Limit Reservable Bandwidth” setting.
6. check the enabled box
7. Then Change the Bandwidth limit % to 0 % click apply and restart your PC.

After rebooting you should see your internet speed increase

For increasing your internet speed open network places then click on view network connection and whichever connection you use for internet right click on that after that you get the modem tab click on that then selecting the modem ADSL modem click om configure and then select the modem speed to maximum and click on ok.
After reboot your system all changes will active and your internet will run fast

Problem with windows Vista slow internet speed..

We can find the web browsing and downloading speed is very slow in Vista
as compare to Windows XP and Server 2003

There is some steps given to increase the Vista web browsing speed:

1:Open Advance tab in Internet Explorer and turn off the Transport Layer Security encryption option.
2:Here we fixed the problem which comes with some secure pages on the Secure Sockets Layer 2.0 and click Ok button to close it.

Windows Vista has the TCP autotunig feature this by default is Enable.
Some old version web server not able to fast respond to this feature.
That's why some sites open with slow speed.

For enabling this feature on our system
click on Start button -> Run -> Type CMD then press Enter.

In CMD type "netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel= disabled"
this command disable the TCP autotuning feature then you restart the computer
