If you want to enable Wireless access point in Linux, then use the steps below:
To enable the WAP in Linux we need to edit the source list, for that we use the command below, one by one:

sudo apt-get
sudo apt-get install wpasupplicant
sudo apt-get install network-manager-gnome network-manager
sudo gedit /etc/network/interfaces
Keep only "lo" entries and comment out all other and save the file.
Create a file called /etc/default/wpasupplicant with the entry ENABLED=0 and save the file.

sudo touch /etc/default/wpasupplicant
To restart the system use the command below:

sudo /etc/init.d/dbus restart
After login left-click the network manager icon and select your wireless network. Set new password in it.
Enter the details required and you will able to access the WAP.
