Problems with history apparently not deleting

I am using IE 8 windows vista. I am having problems because my history is getting filled after 3 or 4 sites are used. I have to delete history and restart every couple of minutes. What can I do?

Hi there,

I think your problem is with the size of the History folder. If the size of the History folder is less then it is fulled immediately and then you cant use the internet explorer. So better you just increase the size of the same. Here is the process to increase the size of the History folder:

1. Just Open the Internet Explorer 8
2. then go to the tools
3. click on the "internet option"
4. In the General tab click on the setting below the Browser history
5. Now increase the size by typing the number in the box given in front of the 'Disk space to used"

Issue is probably related to the web browser. It may be due to some external force such as virus attack. It may have corrupted your browser. Uninstall the web browser and reinstall it again.

As per my knowledge you are getting problem due to your history folder. You might have set your history folder size to 500-700kb. So make sure that it must be more than 4-5mb. You can change the size in following way.
Open IE8 -> click on tool menu -> select Internet Option -> click on General tab -> Now open Browser history -> Now increase the size of history folder.
