I have account in yahoo, after checking my outbox i came to the conclusion that someone was spoofing email addresses. I was wondering how it works, how to spoof email and also wanted to know the procedure to stop email spoofing.

E-mail spoofing is a term used to describe e-mail activity in which the sender address and other parts of the e-mail header are altered to appear as though the e-mail originated from a different source. A spoofed email is when the sender purposely alters parts of the email to fraudulently appear as though someone else sent it. E-mail spoofing is a technique commonly used for spam e-mail and phishing to hide the origin of an e-mail message.
